18 MAY
Colin Genlloud
Detailed large-scale drawings, mainly black-and-white, are reflections
of personal stories. Colin also shows acrylic studies of buildings in
extreme light conditions.
Emma Green
Oil paint layered, worked and scratched contributes to vivid abstractions
of the Suffolk rural and coastal area where Emma lives.
Tracey Johnson
Watercolours and oils are used freely to capture the essence of place,
season and light. Tracey
has had solo exhibitions in Colchester and London

20 MAY - 8 JUNE
David Burns
David says "
a sequence of actions producing an image
.Layers
consist of slender lines of paint that cross and re-cross the surface."
Joan Murray
After some years as a ceramicist, Joan is now refocusing on mixed media
drawings. They are an exploration of marks, fragile and ambiguous, made
on white space.
Robert Steerwood
Dense and complex abstracts are created on roughly torn assemblages
of re-cycled canvas. Deep and bright colours, poured and dripped, react
with the surfaces.

10 - 29 JUNE
Valerie Armstrong
Influences from ancient theatre, the Middle East, poetry, have given
Valerie's image-making a dimension of fantasy in painting and prints,
figurative and abstract.
Valerie has her own website which can be
seen here.
Ray Burgoyne
Minimalist, simple forms with strong colour;
underpainting and line are important elements.
Jazz Green
Mixed media - plaster, soil, varnish, dry pigments - explore subtleties
of patina and erosion. Structures of decay become evocative, gentle
and graceful.

Hayley Field
With a figurative starting-point the paintings, oil on board, are worked
in thin multiple layers reflecting landscape. The results are often
exuberant abstractions.
James Fletcher
The Gallery is very pleased to be able to show this special exhibition,
entitled Children of the Revolution. James' remarkable photographs give
us a poignant glimpse into the lives of poor people of Romania 15 years
on. Part of this collection shows a charity for young mothers and babies.
Andrew Taylor
Mixed media work is inspired by literature and music as well as visual
sources, using a wide range of materials to create multi-layered collages.
Images and motifs occur.
Liz Waugh McManus
Having shown her glass sculpture in the Open Exhibition, Liz now presents
new work inspired by the structure and symbolism of plants. The cast
glass is combined with other materials.

bred from the raw materials of process and serendipity, is turned inside
